What you’ll do as an accounting clerk As an accounting clerk, you support our CFO and controller with everyday transaction posting and data entry. Typically, your day includes: Entering and posting accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Helping with invoicing, billing, and collections Maintaining prepaid and fixed asset schedules and posting routine journal entries Keeping financial records and documentation accurate and organized Supporting month-end and year-end closing and audit requests Moreover, you work closely with a supportive team. Consequently, you enjoy both structure and guidance in the same role.
What we're looking for
First, we look for someone organized, accurate, and dependable. In addition, we look for the following: A high school diploma (required); an associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting or finance (preferred) One to three years in a bookkeeping or accounting clerk role Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise A solid grasp of basic accounting principles Strong communication skills and the discretion to handle confidential information However, if you are early in your accounting career and eager to learn, we still encourage you to apply.
