Are you a strategic finance professional who thrives on complex financial analysis, investment strategy, and influencing executive-level business decisions?
We are partnering with a growing, technology-driven organization seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Finance & Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to play a critical role in its continued growth.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position offers significant executive exposure and the opportunity to influence financial strategy, evaluate investment opportunities, and drive business performance.
This is not a traditional FP&A position. While budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting are important components, we are looking for someone who brings a broader strategic finance perspective, ideally developed through investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or sophisticated corporate finance environments.

What You'll Do

Partner directly with the CFO to develop financial strategies supporting growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
Develop advanced financial models to evaluate investments, business opportunities, and potential acquisitions.
Analyze financial performance, revenue trends, operating margins, EBITDA, and cash flow.
Conduct business valuations, scenario modeling, and investment return analysis.
Support strategic initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and potential M&A activities.
Prepare executive-level financial presentations, dashboards, and performance reports.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth, operational efficiency, and improved profitability.
Drive improvements in financial reporting, analytics, and planning processes.

What we're looking for

What We're Looking For

10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
Strong background in sophisticated financial modeling, valuation, and financial analysis.
Experience developing financial strategies and providing recommendations to executive leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business performance analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and experience building complex financial models.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial data to operational and strategic decisions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence senior executives.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

Investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory experience is highly preferred.
MBA, preferably with a concentration in Finance or Strategy.
Experience in corporate development, M&A, investment evaluation, or business valuations.
Background in technology, cybersecurity, SaaS, or professional services.
Experience working within a private equity-backed or high-growth organization.
CFA designation or progress toward completion.
Experience with financial analytics, automation, Power BI, Power Query, or enterprise financial planning systems.
